Auto Search Technologies Inc. (AST) works with the NIADA and state IADAs across the nation to help improve the used car industry. Just one way AST does this is by donating technology to state IADAs (like this website). This helps the state IADA keep its members informed and up-to-date with the used car industry. The site also helps the state IADA provide documentation and information about dealer education and upcoming events.

NIADA and FTC Publish new Guide The National Independent Auto Dealers Association worked collaboratively with the Federal Trade Commission to compile a new publication called "A Dealer's Guide to the Used Car Rule". This guide for the motor vehicle industry offers direct and clear understanding of federal requirements for warranties, service contracts, manufacturers warranties, disclosure requirements and compliance.
